A 51-year-old man has been admitted in critical condition to La Candelaria Hospital after being revived from a cardiac arrest in the street in the municipality of Candelaria.
The events occurred at 11:35 am when the Coordinating Centre for Emergencies and Security (CECOES) 112 of the Canary Islands Government received an alert informing that a person had fainted and collapsed on Avenida Los Menceyes.
When ambulance personnel from SUC arrived, they confirmed that the individual was in cardiac arrest. They performed basic and advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation manoeuvres, ultimately managing to restore the heart rhythm.
Once stabilised in the ambulance, he was transported to La Candelaria Hospital.
