Woman injured after being hit by a car that overturned at a bus stop on the TF-5

A 54-year-old woman was injured this Thursday with a moderate ankle injury after being hit by a car following the overturning of a vehicle in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

The incident occurred shortly after 06:45 on Thursday when the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Canary Islands Government received an alert regarding a collision between a car and a wall, which ultimately overturned on the TF-5, heading north, near a bus stop in the Chamberí neighbourhood.

The medical team assessed and provided initial assistance to two individuals: the driver of the vehicle, who refused to be taken to a medical centre, and the woman who was hit, who was transported to La Candelaria Hospital.

The firefighters secured the vehicle, which had overturned on its side, while the Civil Guard and Local Police intervened to manage traffic and prepared the relevant report.

The road maintenance service took care of cleaning and marking the road.
