The Baile de Magos de San Benito Abad in La Laguna, Tenerife, sold out this weekend within minutes, with the 680 tables offered by the City Council’s Festival Department for the event on 11th July.
This festivity will once again gather a large number of participants between Marqués de Celada Street and the surroundings of La Concepción, adding colour and tradition to one of the most special nights of the year, as highlighted by the council in a statement.
The town’s mayor, Luis Yeray Gutiérrez, has expressed gratitude for the warm reception of this edition, “which speaks of the good health of this event,” as it has become “a reference” for locals and people from other parts of Tenerife and the Canary Islands who “want to enjoy local cuisine, folklore, and the fantastic atmosphere” of this celebration.
Furthermore, the mayor has reminded that having a table “is not an essential requirement” to enter the designated area, although attending in traditional dress is mandatory.
In this edition, the Baile de Magos de San Benito Abad will feature three musical performance areas. The main one will be located on the stage under the La Concepción tower, enlivened from 9:30 pm by performances from folklore groups Arraigo, Santa Ana, San Borondón, and Los Majuelos, and from 1:00 am by the group Atenia.
The second stage will be located on Marqués de Celada Street. From 11:00 pm, the parrandas Cuevas de Lino and Los Muchachos will perform there. Finally, on the stage at San Benito, the orchestras Malibú Band, Sabrosa, and Revelación will perform from 11:00 pm until the early hours.
