A 17-year-old has been rescued from the sea this Thursday showing signs of drowning at Los Charcos de Valleseco, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and has been evacuated to the University Hospital of the Canary Islands in critical condition.
Lifeguard service personnel and other individuals who identified themselves as healthcare personnel provided initial assistance to the affected person until the arrival of the Canary Emergency Service staff.
Once stabilised, they proceeded to transport him by ambulance to the aforementioned hospital centre in critical condition, according to sources from 112 Canarias.
The Local Police secured the area and collaborated with other emergency resources.
