Santa Cruz de Tenerife will once again be filled with joy on two wheels with the 43rd edition of the Bicycle Festival, which will take place on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd June. This initiative, organised by the Sports Service of the Santa Cruz City Council, promises two days full of activities for all audiences, reinforcing the city’s commitment to sustainable mobility, health, and community life.
With over 950 people already registered, the Bicycle Festival is one of the most anticipated events of the year. As the mayor, José Manuel Bermúdez, highlights, “it is a tradition that reinforces our commitment to a healthier and more sustainable city model. It is a celebration for the whole family and an example of how sport can unite us.”
For her part, the Sports Councillor, Alicia Cebrián, emphasizes that “it is a joy to see nearly a thousand people pedalling through Santa Cruz. This Bicycle Festival not only celebrates sport but also a more sustainable and healthier way of moving.” She also adds that “the bicycle improves our health, reduces traffic, and connects us better with the city. And from now on, with the new bike lane that we will soon inaugurate, Santa Cruz takes another step towards a more friendly and safe mobility for everyone.”
