Caring for seeds to cultivate the present and ensuring the harvest in the future. This is the motto of the Conference for the Integration of Young People in Sustainable Agricultural Systems, which will take place at the Casa de la Cultura in Tacoronte next Wednesday, 25th June, a key event to promote generational renewal in the primary sector of Canary Islands.
The event will begin at 16:30 with the reception of participants and an institutional presentation.
Throughout the afternoon, key topics will be addressed, such as European aid adapted to the Canary context, the Ticket Rural Leader programme for new entrepreneurs in the rural environment, and marketing opportunities through established experiences like Tacoronte Ecológico or Ecocomedores de Canarias.
The meeting is organised by the Association of Farmers and Livestock Farmers Tacoronte Ecológico (celebrating its eighth anniversary this year), with the assistance of the Tacoronte Town Hall. It also counts with the participation of the Canarian Institute for Agro-food Quality (ICCA), the Agricultural Extension Service of the Tenerife Cabildo and COAG Canarias.

One of the most inspiring moments of the event will be the panel of experiences, where young people linked to farming will share their paths, challenges, and motivations.
There will be representatives from projects such as the Finca El Cañaveral (Juan Cabrera García), the Asociación La Cernícala (Estrella Monterey Viñas), the Agricultural Training School of Los Llanos de Aridane (Claudia Luis Martín and Valentina Magdalena López), Folelé Biofina (Moisés Garcés Hernández) and from Andalusia, the Coordinator of Agrarian Youth of COAG (Clara Torreblanca Ortiz).
The session will conclude with a round table open to dialogue and joint reflection among speakers, institutions, and attendees, facilitated by Juana María Fernández del Castillo.
This gathering is a real opportunity to strengthen the future of the Canarian countryside through sustainability, innovation, and youth leadership.
