SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE 18 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The government council of the Cabildo of Tenerife has approved this Wednesday the report that will allow progress in acquiring the necessary land to enable a car park in Cruz de Hilda, in Masca. It concerns an area of 3,000 square metres aimed at solving part of the mobility problems in the area.
At a press conference, President Rosa Dávila specified that one of the evident issues in the area is the inability for tourist buses to turn safely at the mentioned viewpoint. Therefore, she stated, this car park will be enabled while respecting the terrain’s orography and environmental protection.
The Cabildo of Tenerife estimates that this action will ensure the safe turning of buses, prevent risk situations, and reduce pressure on the road. The area to be occupied will accommodate eight tourist buses and ten cars.
The island corporation indicates that this car park is planned within the Teno Rural Park’s Master Plan, which also includes provisions for services such as information points or small controlled parking areas.
