Manuel Hermoso Rojas’s funeral took place, at the family’s express wish, at the Presidency of the Government of the Canary Islands. The politician’s dual role as former mayor of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and former regional president led the heads of both administrations to offer the facilities to the widow and children to set up the lying in state.
They also helped organise the funeral procession, which took place at midday this Wednesday, covering the route between the Presidency and the parish of La Concepción. The city council of the capital of Tenerife did likewise.
