In southern Tenerife, few things are as predictable as the frequent brawls in the most well-known tourist area of the Canary Islands, particularly around the bars of Las Verónicas in Arona. Every night, thousands, mainly tourists, gather here to enjoy the local nightlife.

A recent viral clash shared on social media shows two foreigners fighting like boxers, with dozens of onlookers cheering them on and even moving aside one of the fighters’ partners who was trying to stop the altercation.

Interestingly, the video posted by the Instagram account @cosafamosa has gained significant attention within 24 hours, attracting hundreds of comments. Many people have remarked on the “nobility” of this fight compared to others that often occur during boozy nights in the Canaries.

One user commented, “A one-on-one fight as it should be, without five people jumping in or weapons being drawn. It’s still wrong, but it’s one of the most respectful I’ve seen lately.”

Another mentioned, “Las Verónicas, as always…. new generations, mind you,” highlighting how this situation repeats itself regularly without much intervention from the authorities. It seems another incident is just around the corner.
