The Cabildo of Tenerife has given the green light to one of the most significant measures of the current mandate: the third edition of the Nursery Check, a direct aid aimed at families with children up to 3 years old. This call starts with an initial investment of 1.3 million euros, expandable up to 2 million depending on demand, with the clear objective that no one is left out. The Nursery Check will allow receiving up to 800 euros per child to cover essential expenses such as registration, care, food, hygiene, or school clothing. One of the fundamental pillars of this measure is that it guarantees the freedom to choose the childcare center, adapting to the diversity of family realities. But the initiative not only seeks to alleviate the economic burden but also to promote work-life balance. According to the data, 80% of leave for child care is still requested by women, so this aid aims to help many mothers not be forced to leave their jobs due to a lack of alternatives. The new call will open on the first business day following its publication in the Official Gazette of the Province and will remain available until October 31. The Government is working to publish it in the coming days, thus avoiding any delays.
