The Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Hall has announced several traffic alterations due to the general rehearsal of the main event for the Armed Forces Day (DIFAS 2025), which will take place on Saturday, June 7th.

The preparation for the parade will involve the complete closure of the TF-4 highway from 8:00 PM on Thursday, June 5th until 4:00 AM on Friday, June 6th. The closure will affect the section between Juan Sebastián Elcano roundabout, located at the Fairgrounds, and Avenida Tres de Mayo roundabout.

During this period, vehicles will be diverted through Tres de Mayo and La Salle avenues. The City Hall recommends drivers plan their trips and consider these alternative routes to avoid delays.

Additionally, on Thursday afternoon, the Military Music Meet will take place, which will also cause occasional traffic disruptions. Between 6:10 PM and 7:15 PM, there will be temporary street closures in the city center, coinciding with the routes of participating units to the Plaza de la Candelaria, where a concert will be held by seven formations, including the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Municipal Band.

Garages affected by the Armed Forces parade

In preparation for the main event on Saturday, the City Hall will distribute information to mailboxes in buildings with garages located in areas affected by the total traffic closure. This action is in addition to informational dissemination in media and social networks, aiming to ensure residents are aware of access and exit restrictions to their parking lots in advance.

The mailings will be conducted in buildings located on sections of Avenida Manuel Hermoso Rojas, Adán Martín Menis street (descending direction), and Celia Cruz street, where circulation will be restricted between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM on Saturday, June 7th.

All information about traffic disruptions will be available on the municipal website www.santacruzdetenerife.es, on the City Hall’s official social media profiles, and through the citizen service line 010.
