The investigation that began at Tenerife II prison throughout 2020 related to the illegal entry of drugs, mobile phones, and other prohibited items into Tenerife II prison at a time when all visits, face-to-face meetings, and parcel services to the interior of the prison had been suspended and allegedly linked an officer and a specific inmate came to nothing. The case investigating the alleged involvement of both was judicialized, but it was dismissed and provisionally archived by the Court of Instruction number 4 of Santa Cruz de Tenerife as “it was not possible to clearly prove the commission of crimes” on their part.
