58-Year-Old Motorcyclist Moderately Injured After Falling into Ravine in Fasnia

A 58-year-old motorcyclist was moderately injured after running off the road and falling into a ditch on Calle Vistas, in Fasnia, Tenerife, reported the 1-1-2 of the Canary Islands.

The incident occurred at 13:38 hours, when the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert reporting the motorcycle’s exit from the road and subsequent fall into a ditch in the Tenerife municipality.

The affected person was rescued by firefighters and assisted by the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) personnel at the scene, who, at the initial moment of assistance, presented various moderate injuries and was therefore transferred in a medicalized ambulance to the Hospital Universitario Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria.

The GES helicopter was dispatched to the area but due to the presence of wiring, it could not intervene, although rescuers descended and collaborated with the firefighters.

The Civil Guard prepared the report.
