The meeting of the negotiating commission of the hospitality agreement between employer and unions, initially scheduled for this Monday, will be postponed to Thursday, May 29, at the request of CCOO, which could not go, as reported from the Canary Islands Base Trade Unionists collective to the media.
The meeting is scheduled at 4:30 p.m., at the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Hotel.
The negotiating commission will be integrated by the FSC (SBC+FSOC), UGT, IC and use unions, and adds CCOO, together with the employers of the Ashotel and Aero sector. In it, the main groups yearn to reach an agreement in favor of the establishment of a sector that meant “36% of the Canary Islands GDP and invoiced 21.4 million euros in 2024”.
From base trade unionists, they already advanced the union proposal to arrive with “the prior increase of 6.5% increase with retroactive character to January 2025, without exclusion in its application to the salary pacts, and adaptation of article 36 to the judgment of the Superior Court of Justice of the Canary Islands (TSJC) that dismisses the resources of CCOO and UGT over ancient times”.
