Iván Perdigón Shines with the Finest Cap in the Canary Islands

During the third day of the 10th Gastronomic Hall of the Canary Islands – Gastrocanarias 2025, the competition for the 3rd Championship of Canary Islands of Tapas – Gastrocanarias 2025 – Gran Prize Makro took place.

In this edition, the podium of the Third Canary Islands Championship – Gastrocanarias 2025 was as follows: 1st place and winner, Iván Perdigón from Tenerife, who received the first prize of 600 euros and a diploma. 2nd place and runner-up, Cristian Jesús Domínguez from Tenerife, who won the second prize of 300 euros and a diploma. Lastly, in 3rd place, Carlos Blanco Antonio from Fuerteventura, who received the third prize of 200 euros and a diploma.

The five finalist cooks in this 3rd Championship of Canary Islands – Gastrocanarias 2025 – Makro Grand Prix were: 1. Cristian Jesús Domínguez Negrín (Tenerife) from the Meat Boutique restaurant with the dish “Endyesque de Sardina”; 2. Cristian Déniz Collazo (Gran Canaria) from Chef Déniz with the dish “Gambas al Ajillo”; 3. Casandra Díaz Rodríguez (Tenerife) from Guachinche La Morenita with the dish “Canelón de Meat de Cabra”; 4. Carlos Blanco Antonio (Fuerteventura) from 13 Bristot with the dish “Roca de lapa with goat sauce”; 5. Iván Perdigón Iglesias (Tenerife) from Touches Wood with the dish “Brilloche of Cherne Marinado”.

This third Championship of Canary Islands of Tapas – Gastrocanarias 2025 – Grand Prix Makro is part of the activities programme of the 10th Gastronomic Hall of the Canary Islands – Gastrocanarias 2025, which is promoted and organised jointly by the Fair Institution of Tenerife (IFTSAU) and Interideas, SLU, through its gastrocanary platform, supported by institutional sponsors including Tenerife, the Government of the Canary Islands, and the City Council of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

Hamburgers and Author Snacks Contest

On the second day of the 10th Gastronomic Hall of the Canary Islands – Gastrocanarias 2025, the competition for the Second Championship of Canary Islands of Hamburgers – Europastry Be Baker Contest Grand Prize also took place.

In this edition, the podium of the Second Championship of Canary Islands of Hamburgers was as follows: 1st place and winner, Amadou Balde from Tenerife, who claimed the first prize of 800 euros and a diploma as the champion of the contest, as well as a chef’s jacket, specially designed for this championship. 2nd place and runner-up, Francesco Ponzo from Tenerife, who won the second prize of 300 euros and a silver medal. The 3rd place went to Javier Muruzeta from Tenerife, who received the third prize of 100 euros and a bronze medal. The five finalist cooks in this championship were: 1. Driss Benhassy (La Palma) from Burguer Good Rollito with the dish “La Guanche”; 2. Amadou Balde (Tenerife) from the Europe Villa Cortes hotel with the dish “Guanburerchito”; 3. Javier Muruzeta (Tenerife) from Seven Sages Christians with the dish “Canarian Chulería”; 4. Francesco Ponzo (Tenerife) from Smash Hub with the dish “A Canary in Seul”; 5. Cristian Déniz (Gran Canaria) from Chef Déniz with the dish “Smash Burger the Favourite”.

Additionally, the day featured the competition for the 10th Canary Islands Canarian Bocados Championships – Grand Prix Fred Olsen. In this edition, the podium of the 10th Canary Islands Championship of Canarian Author was as follows: 1st place and winner, Daniel Castro Espinar from Gran Canaria, who received 500 euros and a diploma, along with the title of champion of the contest and/or a gold medal. 2nd place went to Saira Mendoza Ramos from La Gomera of the Jardín Tecina Hotel, who also received 300 euros and a diploma holding the title of runner-up of the contest and/or a silver medal. The 3rd place was awarded to Rubén Pérez Florencio, who won the third prize of 100 euros and a diploma as the third classified along with a bronze medal.

The five finalists in this 10th Canary Islands Championship of Canarian Author were: 1. Daniel Castro Espinar (Gran Canaria) with the dish “The Silence of the Lambs”; 2. Saira Mendoza Ramos (La Gomera) from the Jardín Tecina Hotel with the dish “Alisios Gomeros: Kid with Mist”; 3. Ayoze López Albarracín (Tenerife) from the Bulán restaurant with the dish “El Barranquero”; 4. Cristian López (Tenerife) from the restaurant “Cabra Bikini, Brioche”.

First Championship of the Canary and Table Decoration in Room Service

During the third day of the 10th Gastronomic Hall of the Canary Islands – Gastrocanarias 2025, the inaugural competition of the First Championship of the Canary Islands of Assembly and Decoration of Tables in the Sala – Gastrocanarias 2025 – Grand Prize Adom was held.

In this edition, the podium of the 1st Championship of the Canary Islands of Mounting and Decoration of Table awarded various products from the Adom company. The 2nd place and runner-up, Cristian Sosa Hernández from Tenerife, received 300 euros and a diploma while holding the title of runner-up in the contest and/or a silver medal. He also received numerous products from the Adom company. The 3rd place was given to Ambrosio Martín Padrón from Tenerife, who won 100 euros and a diploma as the third classified, along with a silver medal and products from the Adom company.

The five finalist cooks were: 1. Carlos Daniel González López (Tenerife), Maitre of Tui Atlantic Hills; 2. Ambrosio Martín Padrón (Tenerife), Maitre of Ristorante da Canio; 3. Genesís Andreína Morales Hernández (Tenerife), Chief of the Bar Room at La Porteña; 4. Cristian Sosa Hernández (Tenerife), waiter from the Plaza Candelaria restaurant; 5. Óscar Noriega Peña (Tenerife), head of the Cueva de los Roques restaurant.
