Santa Cruz de Tenerife 16 May. (Press Europa) –
The president of the Parliament of the Canary Islands and leader of the Conference of the Regional Legislative Assemblies of Europe (CALRE), Astrid Pérez, convened this Friday with the president of Andalusia and vice president of the Regional Committee, Juanma Moreno, where they concurred on the necessity for regions to have a voice in the upcoming EU budget for 2028-34.
In a statement issued by the Canary Parliament, Pérez remarked that the policies, necessities, and demands of the European regions must be “represented” within this financial framework. The “agreed manifesto,” which encompasses all proposals to be forwarded to the European Commission, will be devised from the Calre.
This document is set to receive final approval at the next Calre Assembly scheduled for July.
