Francisco Linares Secures 98% Vote for Insular Secretary of CC in Tenerife

The Canarian coalition of Tenerife celebrated its sixth insular congress this past weekend under the theme of Tenerife United, a significant gathering held at the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Fairgrounds. Francisco Linares, its Insular General Secretary, was re-elected with an impressive 98% support.

The new executive committee will again be led by Rosa Dávila, who continues as secretary of organisation. This committee is noted for its “joint” composition, comprising an equal number of 15 women and 15 men, as celebrated by the nationalist party on its social media platforms.

A total of 300 delegates from all municipalities across the island participated in this congress. Over two working days, they engaged in discussions regarding island and municipal regulations, alongside the presentation titled ‘Tenerife, the future is now’.

Additionally, a political and management report covering the past four years was presented, along with three resolution proposals concerning Venezuela, Youth, and Culture and Identity, which were voted on that Sunday. Presentations also covered island regulations, municipal regulations, and the political outline ‘Tenerife, the future is now’.

In response, a total of 224 amendments were proposed to the presentations, demonstrating what the party describes as its “strength.” Currently, they report that the nationalist coalition has over 13,000 members in Tenerife.
