A 58-year-old woman was affected early this Sunday morning due to moderate poisoning from smoke inhalation following a fire, which has since been extinguished, originating in the kitchen of an Apartahotel on Arenales Street in the municipality of Arona, Tenerife, as reported by Canary 1-2.
The incident took place at 5:55 AM when the Emergency and Security Coordinating Centre (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Canary Islands government received an alert reporting a fire in the kitchen of an Apartahotel in southern Tenerife.
Firefighters were dispatched to the scene, where they extinguished the flames and ventilated the premises.
The personnel from the Canarian Emergency Department (SUC) also attended to the woman, who showed moderate smoke inhalation poisoning upon initial assessment. She was subsequently transported in a basic life support ambulance to Hospiten Sur University Hospital.
Both the National Police and Local Police secured the area and assisted the rest of the emergency services while also preparing the necessary reports.
