Two Beaches in Southern Tenerife Ban Bathing Facilities Amid Rising Pool Issues

The Adeje City Council announced on Thursday the temporary closure of bathing at Troy I beach and El Puertito following the results of the most recent analyses conducted in both locations.

As stated by the Consistory, this action has been implemented as a precautionary measure, in conjunction with the respective authorities. Furthermore, the appropriate informationmonitoring and closure protocol has been activated to ensure the safety of bathers.

The City Council has stated that as soon as the analyses indicate they are once again suitable for swimming, they will promptly reopen the affected beaches. In the meantime, residents and visitors are urged to heed the signage in place and refrain from swimming in these locations.

Swimming closure at La Jaquita Beach, El Médano

The Granadilla City Council has mandated the temporary closure of La Jaquita Beach in El Médano due to elevated levels of Escherichia Coli (E. coli) detected in the analyses exceeding the maximum permitted under health regulations.

While awaiting further outcomes, the City Council has taken this preventive measure to ensure the safety of swimmers.
