One individual has sustained serious injuries, while three others have been moderately affected by a fire in a residence located in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, as reported by the 112 Emergency Coordinating Centre.
The incident transpired at 6:56 a.m. on the first floor of a four-storey building on La Grulla street.
At that time, the Emergency and Security Coordinating Centre (CECOES) 1 1 2 of the Canary Islands government received an alert regarding the fire and promptly deployed the necessary emergency resources.
Medical personnel attended to four individuals at the scene before transferring them to hospital facilities.
Among those affected was a man who, during the initial response, was found to have sustained serious burns.
The other victims were taken to hospital due to moderate smoke inhalation.
The Tenerife firefighters extinguished the flames and ventilated both the affected residence and neighbouring properties, while the local and National Police assisted emergency services and initiated investigations.
