On May 7, the Port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife welcomed the inaugural call of the SH Diana, an expedition cruise operated by Swan Hellenic Cruises. The occasion was marked by the customary exchange of commemorative plaques aboard the vessel.
Launched in 2023 at the Helsinki Shipyard, the SH Diana is registered under the flag of Panama and measures 125 metres in length and 23 metres in width.
It boasts a gross tonnage of 12,100 GT, accommodating up to 192 passengers along with 141 crew members.
Engineered for operations in challenging environments, the ship features a PC6 polar class reinforced hull and a diesel-electric hybrid propulsion system, significantly mitigating its environmental footprint.
Onboard, travellers can choose from 96 cabins and suites, the majority of which offer private balconies. Amenities include a restaurant, lounge, gym, spa, panoramic sauna, library, and a heated outdoor pool.
Moreover, the SH Diana is fitted with 14 Zodiac boats and two auxiliary vessels to facilitate excursions to remote locales.
Following its stop in Tenerife, the SH Diana is set to visit the port of La Palma on May 8, as it continues its voyage through the Canary Islands.
