The Department of Works of Granadilla de Abona has released a video on its Instagram profile this Sunday highlighting a significant quantity of waste accumulating in the municipal area following the weekend.

The council underscores that “it is everyone’s duty to safeguard our environment and maintain it as we found it.” They also emphasise that “the better we care for our surroundings, the more we can enjoy them.”

Several users on the platform have voiced their grievances regarding the lack of civic responsibility shown by those who left the municipal area cluttered with rubbish. Some have even suggested closing it “due to citizens failing to follow the regulations.”
