Nighttime Road Interruptions on TF-1 for Third Lane Expansion Starting This Sunday

The Ministry of Public Works, Housing and Mobility of the Canary Islands Government has announced that starting this Sunday at 10 pm, and continuing until Wednesday, April 30 at 06:00, traffic on the TF-1 will be affected both ways during the night. This is to facilitate the installation of prefabricated beams from the kilometre mark 62 +196, along the seaside.

This closure is necessary to progress with the scheduled works concerning the assembly of the prefabricated beams for the Semienlace de Chafiras, as part of the project for the additional lane on the TF-1, specifically the San Isidro to the Americas section, near Ortoteanda in the Chafiras link, as stated in a communication from the Regional Department.

Consequently, during the execution of the planned works in the area, traffic from within the high and low Chafiras Industrial Estate will direct, particularly on the stretch between exits 62 and 64.

The authorities emphasise that this measure aims to ensure road safety, maintain smooth traffic flow, and minimise inconvenience for regular road users as much as possible.

The General Directorate of Road Infrastructure has urged drivers to exercise extreme caution, respect traffic signals, and cooperate with personnel to ensure safety in the area during the course of the works.
