Santa Cruz de Tenerife is gearing up for one of the most iconic gatherings of its festivities: the Dance of the Magicians, an event that melds local culture, Canarian cuisine, and traditional music in the city’s core.
The areas around La Noria street and the Plaza de la Concepción will once again come alive with tables, traditional attire, parrandas, and live performances. This year, the event broadens its reach and will also extend into Candelaria and Santo Domingo streets, featuring activities spread across several locations.
The Fiestas Department of Santa Cruz has announced that table sales will commence for those wishing to participate in this eagerly anticipated celebration. The process will be conducted exclusively via the Official Festival Website starting at 09:00 hours on Friday April 25.
A total of 720 tables will be made available across various streets in the historic centre. The pricing remains consistent with previous editions at 15 euros per table, a decision aimed at ensuring accessibility and preserving the event’s communal spirit.
The programme features numerous locations and timings, allowing attendees to enjoy a seamless experience throughout the night. Here are some notable highlights of the festive agenda:
- 21:00 hours, at the Plaza de la Iglesia de la Concepción: Kick-off of the magician dance accompanied by live music from Parrandas.
- 22:00 hours, at Campo Castro: Dance of the Magicians and taifas dance.
- 23:00 hours, at Plaza de la Iglesia de la Concepción: A new series of folk activities.
- 00:00 hours, at Puente de El Cabo: A popular verbena to conclude the night with a festive atmosphere welcome to all.
