SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE APR. (Press Europa) –
The Prevention Consortium, Fire Extinction and Rescue of the Island of Tenerife has been active since just before 7:00 p.m. in tackling a blaze in the industrial area of the Güímar Valley, which has necessitated the closure of traffic on the TF-1 in both directions.
The fire originated in a pallet warehouse and has produced a substantial column of smoke visible across the entire region.
Five units from the Tenerife Fire Consortium are currently on the scene, along with volunteer firefighters and resources from the Forest Brigades of the Cabildo (Brifor). Road personnel have also been deployed in case their assistance is required.
Additionally, multiple units from the Civil Guard and the Local Police of Güímar have been mobilised, as well as two ambulances as a precautionary measure.
