Officers from the Civil Guard, representing various specialisations, will be part of a comprehensive Surveillance and Control Operation for traffic that will take place in Anaga during This Holy Week.
The aim of this initiative is to prevent camping that may occur in this region during the holiday period, as well as to enhance access to the area, thereby ensuring that it is not congested in prohibited zones such as road shoulders.
It is important to note that in the islands, camping is not permitted outside designated areas, as stipulated by the Coast Law, which applies to any beach or designated servitude or protected zone. The governing plan for the usage and management of the protected natural area of the Rural Park of Anaga forbids camping and imposes penalties starting from 400 euros.
Through this operation, considering the limited parking facilities, it is intended to enhance parking flow for other users. As such, monitoring of the areas, particularly from Anaga, will be implemented. Additionally, the management of waste produced by users of caravans, which could occur in these regions, will also be addressed.
