SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE APR. (Press Europa) –
The Cabildo de Tenerife, via Tenerife Moda, has been honoured with the Special Award in the ‘IV Edition of the Canary Arkoiris Awards’.
The Minister for Education and Employment, Efraín Medina, expressed his contentment with the accolade that “not only celebrates the talent and creativity of the team, but also the steadfast commitment to the principles of equality, inclusion, and support for the LGTBIQ+ community.”
“We sincerely thank the organising body for this recognition and wish to share this joy with all the individuals who stand alongside us. In particular, with Rosa Dávila, president of the Cabildo de Tenerife, who joins us in celebrating this achievement that is both collective and transformative,” he noted in a statement.
Meanwhile, the insular director of Equality and Diversity, Patricia de León, stated that “this award is a source of pride for the Cabildo de Tenerife as it acknowledges the policies of inclusion, equality, and of course, the diversity initiatives that are implemented throughout this island authority.” She thus extended her congratulations to Medina and the entire Tenerife Fashion team.
In this edition, the awards will be presented during a grand gala set to take place on June 8 at the Gaucare Theatre in Gáldar, as part of the ‘Pride’ celebrations.
