A total of fifteen individuals residing in an urban development in the heart of Bajamar, located on the coast of La Laguna, have been evacuated and provided assistance from municipal resources following the collapse of a rock weighing over one tonne onto a residence on the night of this Tuesday.
Although there have been no injuries reported, the property has sustained considerable damage, as stated by the City Council, whose experts are assessing the structure to determine if there is a risk of collapse.
Firefighters are also examining the slope’s stability by means of a drone flight to avert further rock falls, while technicians from the Tenerife Cabildo have chosen to keep the TF-13 road open to traffic.
