Tenerife, 14 Apr. (Press Europa) –
A 47-year-old man has tragically passed away on Monday after being retrieved from the water in a state of cardiorespiratory arrest at Playa del Puertito in Adeje (Tenerife), as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Centre (CECOES) of the Canary Islands Government.
The incident occurred at 15:22 hours, following an alert from the beach rescue personnel to CECOES, notifying them that someone had been brought from the sea in cardiorespiratory distress. In response, 112 promptly activated the necessary emergency services.
The lifeguards administered basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation manoeuvres on the victim until the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC) arrived, who then proceeded with advanced techniques, but unfortunately without success, confirming the individual’s death.
According to CECOES, the Local Police also assisted with the emergency resources, while the Civil Guard undertook the necessary procedures for the case.
