Santa Cruz de Tenerife 10 Apr. (Press Europa) –
The Canarian Health Service (SCS) has moved to solidify over 2,000 jobs of a structural nature within the staffing of the Health Centres and Public Hospitals across the Islands.
This initiative aims to uphold the pledge to enhance stability in public employment, which will enable the current temporary workers at the health centres, employed on a temporary basis, to transition to interim status for the vacancies, as stated by the Regional Department in a press release issued this Thursday.
This effort, which builds upon the prior establishment of 7,000 structural positions, results in more than 9,000 placements added to the staffing of the health centres within the Canarian health service over the past 18 months, in compliance with existing regulations.
The expansion of structural positions within the bodies responsible for providing health services of the SCS largely responds to changes in epidemiology, increased utilisation of resources and technology, among other factors, which create new needs and demands for care that require the involvement of additional professionals, as argued by the Regional Department.
