Coastal Rescue: A Brave Man Saved from the Sea at Realejos

A maritime rescue vessel successfully saved a man in distress at sea off the coast of the Realejos on Tuesday, according to the Emergency and Security Coordinating Centre of the 112 in the Canary Islands.

The incident took place near the picturesque area of the aforementioned municipality, prompting the deployment of a helicopter from the emergency and rescue group (GES) of the Canary Islands government, along with a maritime rescue boat after reports indicated a person was in difficulty in the water.

Ultimately, the maritime rescue boat managed to carry out the recovery of the individual, who, upon reaching land at the dock of Puerto de la Cruz, received assistance from staff of the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC). They confirmed he had sustained moderate injuries but with no complications, and he was subsequently transported by ambulance to the Hospiten Bellevue University Hospital.

Emergency personnel from the Tenerife Fire Consortium and the Local Police also arrived at the scene, working alongside other emergency services to support the operation.
