Santa Cruz de Tenerife 9 Apr. (Press Europa) –
The Ministry of Public Works, Housing and Mobility of the Canary Islands government has announced that from Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. until April 11 at 06:00, both lanes of the TF-1 will be completely closed at night to facilitate the works on the third lane.
This decision will impact both directions of travel, specifically between kilometre markers 60+280 and 64+270, as specified by the regional department in a press release.
The closure is necessary to advance the assembly of the prefabricated beams for the Chafiras Link, as part of the ongoing construction of the third lane on the TF-1. This pertains to the San Isidro-the Americas section, specifically at the Ortoteanda-Chafiras link.
During this construction period, traffic will be redirected within the upper and lower Chafiras polygon between exits 62 and 64, in order to ensure smooth traffic flow in the vicinity and to minimise disruptions for road users.
The regional department has urged motorists to exercise caution and adhere to traffic signs, as well as to the instructions of the personnel on site to maintain safety during the construction operations.
