Santa Cruz de Tenerife 9 Apr. (Press Europa) –
The president of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Rosa Dávila, stated on Wednesday that the ruling concerning the concrete Tenerife engine circuit is “in effect” and will remain “indefinite”: “it encompasses the actions that are being carried out,” she remarked.
During a press conference regarding council agreements, Dávila responded to a query from journalists following the Tenerife Association of Friends of Nature (TAAN) declaring the environmental impact statement of the Granadilla motor circuit as expired, citing the recent ruling from the Contentious-Administrative Court number 3 of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
Dávila reiterated that in this matter, the Cabildo has a resolution that is favourable to the council, while the organisation faces two challenges, and is currently “awaiting” a final decision from the Superior Court of Justice of the Canary Islands.
Furthermore, she noted that this project is accompanied by “various contradictory rulings,” and in this regard, any developments surrounding it depend on the resolutions provided by the courts.
