Santa Cruz de Tenerife, 8 April (Europa Press) –
Maritime rescue services intercepted a Cayuco with five migrants on Monday afternoon in waters close to El Hierro, as confirmed by the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre of 112 in the Canary Islands.
Following the interception, the migrants were brought to the La Restinga dock, where they were provided assistance by the local health authorities, comprising personnel from the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC), Primary Care, and the Red Cross.
After receiving assistance, the migrants did not need to be transferred to the hospital.
