A website is born in Tenerife for the bartering of second -hand objects

The Cabildo de Tenerife ensures in a statement that becomes “the first public administration of the Canary Islands and third in Spain” in launching this logistics digital barter system at the clean points. “

The island of Tenerife has 8 clean points and the Cabildo is working to build 8 more and complete the network. At present, the Clean points of Santa Cruz (Jagua), Taco, Güímar, Adeje, Buenavista del Norte, La Guancha, La Orotava and Arona. From the Cabildo, progress has already been made in the Arico (Environmental Complex of Tenerife) and Los Rodeos (La Laguna), which are under construction. In addition, the new clean points of Granadilla and San Miguel will be tendered shortly and those of Las Eras (Arico), Vilaflor, Isora and Tegueste guide are already in administrative procedures.

The Cabildo de Tenerife increased 13.1 % the collection of waste at the clean points for 2024 with respect to the exercise of 2023. The eight clean points operating received 62,683 tons over the past year, which represents 7,277 tons more than in 2023. Thus, there was an increase of users thanks to the facilities and expansion of schedules that have been implanted.
