Metroenife will alter the operation of the Tram Line 1 this Saturday, April 5, to accommodate the Binter Nightrun race in Santa Cruz. As with previous occasions, trams will only run between the Guimerá and La Trinidad stops from 6:45 p.m. and throughout the duration of the event. For the remainder of Saturday, Line 1 will function normally with its usual weekend timetables.
Consequently, from 6:45 p.m., the starting and ending stop for Line 1 in the city of Santa Cruz will be Guimerá Theatre, meaning trams will only travel the route between Guimerá and La Trinidad Theatre, in both directions. This indicates that the foundation and interchange stations will not be operational.
Full service on Line 1 will be reinstated once the local police in Santa Cruz have given the go-ahead after the night race concludes, approximately around 11:30 p.m. From that point onwards, Line 1 will provide continuous service throughout the night as it does every weekend.
Passengers can stay updated about services through the social media channels of Metaranife, on Facebook and X (@ranvioatenerife).
