SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE 3 APR. (Press Europa) –
The passage of storm ‘Nuria’ across the Canary Islands, characterised by exceptionally strong wind gusts, has thus far resulted in the cancellation of ten flights within the archipelago, all interisland, including nine on La Palma and one round trip on La Gomera, as reported by Europa Press Source of Aena.
As of Thursday, the islands of Tenerife and La Palma are under maximum alert due to winds, with peak gusts reaching up to 130 kilometres per hour, particularly in the western part of La Palma, where a red warning is in effect for the eastern region. The other islands are also on alert, with gusts expected to surpass 70 kilometres per hour.
Classes have been cancelled in La Palma, Tenerife, and La Graciosa, and heavy rainfall is anticipated throughout the day across various areas of the archipelago.
