Officers from the Civil Guard in Santa Cruz de Tenerife have apprehended two individuals, aged 55 and 22, who reside in the municipality of San Cristóbal de la Laguna, on suspicion of committing theft within a “busy” hotel located in Callao Salvaje (Adeje).
As part of the surveillance operations conducted by the Civil Guard units in the vicinity of the aforementioned hotel complex, a total of five individuals have been detained in recent months, either caught in the act of committing offences or shortly after the crimes.
The officers managed to recover furniture stolen from within the hotel, valued at over 25,000 euros, including tables, chairs, sun loungers, and industrial appliances such as refrigerators and ovens.
Following reports of the theft, a tracking operation was initiated, during which the Central Operational Services (COS) effectively coordinated several Civil Guard units from the southern region of the island, ultimately succeeding in intercepting the vehicle, detaining the two suspects, and recovering the recently stolen furniture.
The detainees, along with the case files compiled, have been handed over to the Arona Court of Instruction.
