A 78-year-old woman has tragically passed away after being struck by a vehicle on the TF-1 road in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, as she was traversing the municipality of Arona in the southern part of Tenerife, according to the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre of 112 in the Canary Islands.
The incident occurred at 23:58 on Monday, where personnel from the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC) found that there was nothing they could do except confirm the death of the victim due to the severe injuries sustained.
Emergency services were joined on-site by teams from the road maintenance service of the Cabildo de Tenerife, who cleared the road, while Civil Guard officers managed traffic and performed the necessary documentation related to the incident.
