Maritime rescue services have successfully saved two Cayucos carrying 69 migrants in the waters off Gran Canaria and La Gomera on Tuesday afternoon.
The first vessel was discovered to the south of the island by the Sive, carrying 21 individuals who were subsequently escorted to the port of Arguineguín by the Salvamar Macondo. The second vessel was found eleven miles southwest of the island following a call to 112 from one of the passengers.
The boat was located by Helimer 204 and Salvamar Mizar, and after the rescue, they proceeded to the port of Los Cristianos in Tenerife for disembarkation.
