Santa Cruz de Tenerife, 31 Mar. (Europa Press) –
Maritime rescue services intercepted a Cayuco carrying 61 migrants in waters close to the island of El Hierro during the night of Sunday, as stated by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Centre of the 112 in the Canary Islands.
Following the interception of the vessel, the migrants were brought to the La Restinga dock, where they received assistance from the local health services, consisting of personnel from the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC), Primary Care, and the Red Cross in Tenerife.
After receiving assistance, the migrants did not require any transfer to hospital facilities.
