Yesterday, the historic centre of La Orotava was filled with thousands of individuals participating in a remarkable religious occasion, transforming the town into a vast temple and an open-air museum of sacred art. Various brotherhoods and penitential organisations united to commemorate the Via Crucis Magno, honouring the Holy Year of Hope that Pope Francis has proclaimed in recognition of the 2,025th anniversary of Jesus Christ’s birth.
