Santa Cruz de Tenerife 30 Mar. (Europa Press) –

The Cabildo de Tenerife has assigned a budget allocation of 563,888.56 euros to enhance the external lighting of the Industrial Park in the Güímar Valley. This initiative is part of the action plan established by the institution aimed at revitalising and updating the surroundings of this industrial zone in Tenerife.

The project entails the replacement of at least 25 light columns together with their corresponding fixtures, whilst also assessing the possibility of rehabilitating some existing ones and substituting those that are in poor condition or lying flat on the ground of the park, as detailed by the insular institution in a press release.

Furthermore, the scope of this initiative includes the swapping out of the current VSAP lighting with highly efficient LED lights to minimise energy consumption. It will also involve the incorporation of monitoring systems to optimise energy usage and enhance lighting management, the replacement of missing access covers, and a review of the electrical panels and circuits.

The Minister of Industry, Manuel Fernández, has stated that the ongoing works around the Güímar Industrial Park underline the commitment to address the long-standing neglect of over a decade in this industrial area, which bears significant economic importance for Tenerife.

He also noted that in addition to this action plan, an island-wide initiative aimed at improving industrial parks has been launched to work alongside municipalities to rejuvenate these areas. This effort seeks to enhance the activities occurring within them, boost the competitiveness of businesses, and attract investment into the industrial sector.
