Santa Cruz de Tenerife, 28 Mar. (Europa Press) –
The Cabildo de Tenerife is advocating for the establishment of a medical service at the North-City of La Laguna to ensure the health and safety of travellers. This initiative has been endorsed through an institutional agreement during the Plenary held this Friday.
The pact urges the Spanish Government to implement measures that secure health safety at the specified airport, fostering a secure and prepared environment for any medical emergencies, as stated by the institution in a press release.
Furthermore, the agreement encompasses “encouraging the ratification of a contract between the Insular Cabildo of Tenerife, the Government of the Canary Islands, and Aena, if necessary, to ensure the provision of essential resources for the establishment of the medical service at the North-City airport of La Laguna.”
In addition, Aena is prompted, in conjunction with the Canary Islands government and the Cabildo de Tenerife if required, to initiate an awareness campaign aimed at informing passengers at Tenerife airports about the protocols to follow in the event of an emergency or health crisis, “thus guaranteeing a swift and effective response to any health-related incidents.”
