Santa Cruz de Tenerife 25 Mar. (Europa Press) –

The Cabildo de Tenerife is providing support through a grant programme of €451,892.91 aimed at fostering the establishment of new enterprises in Tenerife. This initiative is set to be ratified during the upcoming Governing Council meeting on Wednesday.

This funding forms part of the Strategic Subsidies Plan for 2024-2026 and is distinguished by the fact that “payments will be made in advance, with assistance disbursed once beneficiaries fulfil the necessary criteria,” explains the Minister of Commerce, Krysten Martín.

The application period for these grants will remain open until 30 September 2025 (or until funds are exhausted), allowing individuals or groups planning to launch between 1 September 2024 and 31 August 2025 to seek financial backing from the Cabildo.

Krysten Martín highlights that “the aim of this initiative is to encourage self-employment, stimulate the economy, and create stable job opportunities,” and further, “reinforces the Cabildo’s commitment to entrepreneurship as a driving force for local economic growth.”

The councillor concludes by stating that “these grants are part of a policy focused on local engagement and job creation, devised for those who choose to invest in and develop a business venture in Tenerife.”
