Tenerife Busts Fugitive Trying to Escape Across Rooftops from Swiss Authorities

Officers from the National Police have apprehended a wanted fugitive pursued by Swiss authorities for drug trafficking activities in Tenerife. He is facing a potential prison sentence of up to 15 years after being implicated in the importation of as much as 50 kilograms of cocaine intended for distribution in the Swiss canton of Tesino. During the operation, he injured one of the officers with his vehicle and was ultimately captured while attempting to escape across the rooftops of a residence in Adeje, Tenerife.

The investigation commenced when agents became aware that a fugitive sought by Swiss authorities for drug trafficking might be residing in the Canary Islands, utilising fraudulent documentation and enjoying a lavish lifestyle, while simultaneously boasting about his violent nature and risk on his social media platforms.

He struck an officer and attempted to flee across rooftops

Agent investigations led to the identification of the fugitive’s location in Adeje, Tenerife. Following extensive surveillance, the holiday property where he was staying was identified. A plan was devised for his capture, during which the fugitive sought to escape first by vehicle, injuring one of the officers in the process, and subsequently on foot, navigating the rooftops of several houses, where he was eventually apprehended.

The fugitive is confronted with a 15-year prison sentence in Switzerland, as he is allegedly involved in a drug trafficking offence linked to a criminal organisation that imported 50 kilograms of cocaine, which was intended for distribution in the Swiss canton of Tesino.
