The Infanta Leonor Auditorium in Los Cristianos was adorned for a splendid evening that showcased the candidates vying to be crowned the queens of the Carnival of Los Cristianos 2025. The event was graced by the presence of Arona’s mayor, Fatima Lemes; the Fiestas councillor, Alexis Gómez; and various members of the Corporation, along with the reigning Carnival Queens of 2024: Sheila Rodríguez Alonso, crowned as Queen 2024 with the theme ‘Ferenesí’; Daniela Ramallo Arzola, the Childhood Queen 2024 with the theme ‘Pom Pom’; and Algeria Melo Reverón, the Senior Queen 2024 with the theme ‘Anú’.
Hosted by Daida Reyes and Víctor García, the gala commenced with stunning performances from the Beanky ballet and comparsas Ay Caramba, Knadum, and Southern Rhythm. This was followed by El Morocho and the Latin Brother, who captivated the audience with the Carnival 2025 anthem, developed by the Municipal Board of Culture and Comparsas de Arona. Subsequently, playeritos and their batucada concluded the introduction to this entertaining act.
Queen of the Elderly
The election gala for the Senior Queen of the Carnival is set to take place next Tuesday, March 26, at 8:00 p.m. Eleven candidates, representing the major centres of Arona, will compete for the coveted title:
Carmela Domínguez Delgado (Centre for Seniors Arona) will present the theme ‘Glow’.
Candelaria González Reverón (Centre for Seniors Buzanada) will showcase the theme ‘Love’, designed by Dani Mena, with the support of Castañuelas Restaurant and Grupo Us.
María Dolores Domínguez González (Cabo Blanco Centre) will display the theme ‘Damsel’, crafted by By Jonathan, sponsored by Europe Villa Cortés.
Ana Ramos Cabello (El Fraile Senior Centre) will wear the theme ‘Salto del Ángel’, created by Dani Mena and supported by History the Evolution of Music.
Argensola Mesa San Blas (Centre for Seniors Guargacho) will don the theme ‘The Soul of the Party’, designed by Christ Beltrán and Jean Pierre Rosales, with the backing of Chinatown Shopping Centre.
Loli Solis Sacedón (Camella Senior Centre) will exhibit the theme ‘The Carnival Magic’, designed by Simona Fernández, with sponsorship from Catering Altavista.
Felisa Cabrera Delgado (Centre for Seniors Las Cookies) will flaunt the theme ‘Perseida’, designed by Christ Beltrán, sponsored by Grupo Los Menceyes.
María Victoria Alemán Morales (Las Rosas Senior Centre) will display the theme ‘The Martyr Life’, conceived by Jean Pierre Rosales, sponsored by Mileventos Park.
Marga Montesdeoca Vera (Centre for the Elderly in Los Cristianos) will showcase the theme ‘Glamour’, created by Nieves Ramos, with support from Transportes Mesa La Fortaleza.
Yaya Mora Mesa (La Reina Senior Park Centre) will wear the theme ‘Sultana’, designed by David Díaz, sponsored by Karting Club Tenerife.
Fina Domínguez Trujillo (San Lorenzo Valley Centre) will present the theme ‘Milenium’, crafted by Nieves Ramos and Ainoah Hernández, with sponsorship from Mesón Las Chicas.
Queen for Childhood
The gala for selecting the Carnival Queen for Childhood will occur on Wednesday, March 27, at 8:00 p.m., featuring five contestants:
Gisela Aguilar Felipe will showcase the theme ‘Sunset in El Llano’, designed by Alfonso Baute, with support from Cueva de Paco el Campesino, Tizón Printing, Mundiópticas Los Coats, Guachinche La Teacher, and Transportes DTS.
Valeria Hernández Rodríguez will present the theme ‘The Land of My Grandparents’, created by designer Jean Pierre Rosales, sponsored by Victoria SL Workshop and Nurseries La Cosma.
Dayara Araujo Muñoz will flaunt the theme ‘Mua-Mua-Plaf’, designed by Silvia María Ferrera Pérez, supported by Children’s Comparsa Playeritos, Comparsa Southern Rhythm, and Monkey Painters.
Ayleen Acosta Reyes will exhibit the theme ‘Ayleen’s Dream’, created by Nieves Ramos, supported by Nuevo Stylo Sur, Venus Unisex Beauty Salon, Hípico del Sur Club, and Floristería Manoly.
Ariadna Cabrera Almenara will display the theme ‘Water’, designed by Dani Mena, sponsored by Yaiza Nueva Línea, Restaurant La Marina, and Hairdry M&C.
Adult Queen
Thursday night, March 28, is dedicated to the crowning of the Carnival Queen 2025, with six contestants competing for the title:
Sofía Naranjo Domínguez will showcase the theme ‘The Brightness of Rio’, designed by Jorge González Santana, sponsored by Parque Santiago.
Kiara Maria Comellas Mereb will display the theme ‘Reflections in Carnival’, created by Antonio Santos, with sponsorship from Papagayo Beach Club.
Dayra Luis Delgado will present the theme ‘Dreams of Freedom’, designed by Zara Díaz, with sponsorship from Macaronesian Hotels and Resorts and Spacio 10.
Lara Navarro González will showcase the theme ‘Loveme’, designed by the Carnival Association of Realejos Nira, with support from Hotel Villa Cortés.
Zuleima Afonso García will present the theme ‘Glowing Utopia’, designed by Fran Yanes, with sponsorship from Grupo Los Menceyes.
Gabriela Domínguez Pais will exhibit the theme ‘Rhythm of Drums’, designed by Alfonso Baute, sponsored by Spring Hotels Group.
The candidates’ presentation gala, streamed live on the City Council’s social media channels and featuring sign language services, concluded with an official photo of the candidates alongside the authorities.
