A 40-year-old individual was airlifted on Friday in a critical state after falling from a height of seven metres in the Barranco del Corral Viejo, situated in the municipality of Granadilla de Abona, Tenerife, as reported by 1-1-2 Canary Islands.
The incident took place around 1:00 p.m., when the Emergency and Security Coordinating Centre (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Canary Islands government received an alert requesting medical assistance for a person involved in a quad accident.
Firefighters were dispatched to the scene, where they located the injured party and facilitated their transfer to a secure area.
Medical personnel from the SUC air ambulance attended to the victim, who displayed multiple serious traumas upon initial assessment, leading to their evacuation by helicopter to the University Hospital Ntra. Mrs. de la Candelaria.
The Local Police have commenced an investigation into the incident.
