Santa Cruz de Tenerife, 20 Mar. (Europa Press) –
The president of the Canary Islands Government, Fernando Clavijo, acknowledged on Thursday that the absence of General State Budgets (PGE) this year is detrimental to both the Canary Islands and Spain, as reported by ‘El País’.
Addressing reporters, he stated that this situation hampers the achievement of the ‘Canarian Agenda’ objectives. However, he emphasised that his administration will concentrate on its responsibilities and will persist in “working and collaborating” to secure a budget.
In his view, “having no budget is harmful, as it affects the provision of public services for citizens; although we have extended it, we will strive to secure a solution.”
