According to the CA portal sal del book, “This narrative depicts the relationship between a father and daughter who, after sharing their lives, begin to truly understand one another. He is nearing death, and she aims to provide a fitting conclusion to their time together until the father requests something his daughter is unsure she can grant.”
The publisher The book states that “this account of a farewell is, in essence, an ironic narrative about the desire for a meaningful life and a celebration of the present against the perils of nostalgia. Above all, it highlights the indispensable value of books, the sea, and the profound connection between a father and his daughter.”
José Luis Sastre stands out as one of the most significant voices in contemporary journalism, and his prowess as a chronicler and writer has now transitioned into his debut novel.
